DaySec aims to provide clear, useful cybersecurity reporting with transparent sourcing and human editorial review.
Sources and verification
We prioritise original research, vendor advisories, official statements and supporting technical evidence. Reports, allegations and confirmed facts should be clearly distinguished. A claim of a breach is not treated as confirmation that a breach occurred.
Context and accuracy
Coverage should explain what happened, who is affected and what is known at the time of publication. Relevant dates, affected versions and available fixes should be checked against the source. Analysis and opinion should be identifiable as such.
AI-assisted research
AI tools may assist with discovering stories, organising sources, summarising information and preparing drafts. The editor remains responsible for checking sources and reviewing material before publication. AI output is not a source of evidence.
Corrections and updates
If you spot an error, contact contact@daysec.org with the article URL and supporting information. Material corrections should be noted in the article. Developing stories may be updated as reliable information becomes available.
Responsible coverage
Technical coverage is intended to support understanding and authorised security work. Story submissions should avoid exposing credentials, personal information or confidential vulnerability details.
